Hey Gorgeous, I’m Casey.

The photographer behind Chasing Lilies Photography, a lifelong people person, Air Force veteran, Type A planner, and fun AF photographer who genuinely loves making people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

There’s a meaningful story behind the name Chasing Lilies.

The business was named after my two beloved dogs, Chase and Lily, who were an incredibly special part of my life. Although they have both since passed, their names live on through this business and the work I love so much. Chasing Lilies is a little piece of their legacy—and a beautiful reminder of the love, joy, and companionship they brought into my life.

Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, I’ve spent the past 17 years photographing weddings, families, seniors, engagements, branding sessions, and motherhood throughout Wisconsin and beyond. What started as a passion has grown into a career I’m incredibly grateful for—one built around people, connection, and creating photographs that actually make you feel something.

Outside of photography, life is wonderfully full. I’m part of a blended family of seven, and our household includes a crazy dog who keeps things entertaining and proves that a little chaos is always part of the fun.

I’m also Type A to my core. I love a good plan, attention to detail, and knowing what’s happening next—but I’m also a firm believer that the best moments are the ones you couldn’t plan if you tried.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me gardening, dreaming up my next bold and bright decorating project, enjoying an all-you-can-eat sushi dinner, or cheering on the Pistons. I love beautiful spaces, great food, basketball, and most of all, time spent with the people I love.

You shouldn’t have to know how to pose, know what to do with your hands, or magically become a model the second my camera comes out.

That’s my job.

Even if you’re the kind of person who feels awkward in photos, I’ve got you. I’ll give you direction when you need it, create movement when things feel stiff, and keep things fun enough that you eventually forget the camera is even there.

Because honestly? Awkward people are my specialty.

I’ll hype you up, keep things moving, and make sure you never feel like you’re standing around wondering, “Okay… what do I do now?”

My goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself—while still creating beautiful, timeless photographs you’ll be obsessed with.

Because the best images rarely happen when you’re thinking about the camera.

They happen when you’re laughing with your person, holding your favorite people a little tighter, wiping away a happy tear, or completely losing yourself on the dance floor.

Those are the moments I’m there to preserve.

After 17 years behind the camera, I’ve learned that while the photographs matter immensely, the experience of creating them matters just as much.

I want you to leave your session or wedding day feeling like you were cared for, understood, and genuinely had a damn good time.

And years from now, when you look back at your photographs, I want them to bring you right back to how it all felt.
